Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced and energetic reporter with a sophisticated understanding of the European Union legal and political system to join our Tax team.

The role involves reporting and writing fast, concise reports on breaking political and legal tax news, as well as delivering longer-form analysis, exclusive interviews, and enterprise pieces.

Our successful candidate is a well-sourced self-starter, who has their finger on the pulse of what and who is driving the most interesting tax policy developments affecting corporations and industries across Europe and globally.
We're looking for an effective team player who thrives in a multi-cultural, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment. Bloomberg is known for quality, accuracy and the ability to deliver news professionals can use.

As part of our Tax coverage team, you'll be charged with breaking scoops on tax policy changes and legal decisions and diving into the impact on multinational companies.

You'll need to have:

  •  A minimum of 5 years of recent journalism experience, preferably covering tax issues or a related field
  •  A track-record in breaking news and developing sources across government, industry, and policy fields
  •  The ability to write quickly and concisely under deadlines
  •  Solid knowledge of the European political and legal system and a strong interest in economic and tax policy.
  •  An understanding of the importance of collaboration given the need to work closely with various stakeholders across teams, borders and platforms
