Our broker network is one of the largest networks in the financial industry and we enable our clients to submit orders for Equity, Futures and Options. Our IOI platform is the market leader and completes the products offering we maintain in ENG TC.

Our team:

Exchange Trading Connectivity (ETC) is an engineering group in Bloomberg that acts as a center of excellence for facilitating the transactional connectivity of various order and execution management systems to trading venues. In Europe, we are strengthening Bloomberg’s position as a leader in many markets by being a "one-stop shop" to provide trading connectivity to multiple venues (stock exchanges, alternative trading system) across the globe.

We’ll trust you to:

• Take ownership for the full software development life-cycle, from understanding the needs of the business through to coding (in C++), deployment and maintenance. Your work will be highly visible, making you highly accountable
• Enjoy solving sophisticated problems: you will balance the best of your technical and product knowledge to craft outstanding solutions for our customers
• Be resourceful, flexible, and an excellent collaborator willing to engage with the wider community – from Inner Source to Open Source to our partners

You'll need to have:

• 4+ years working with an object-oriented programming language (C/C++, Python, Java, etc.)
• A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience
• An understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms
• Prior contributions to system design and architecture and scaling fault-tolerant, distributed systems
• Honest approach to problem-solving, and ability to collaborate with peers, stakeholders and management
