Bloomberg News is one of the biggest financial and business news organizations in the world. We lead the way in breaking news about mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and other events, enabling readers, viewers and listeners to stay a step ahead of the markets.

We are seeking an Editor to work alongside the Asia enterprise edit hub and deliver compelling features that will appear on the Bloomberg terminal and Bloomberg.com, as well as in Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg Markets magazines. You will write and edit stories and collaborate with news teams focused on Government, Economics, Finance & Markets, Technology and Global Business. You should have over five years of experience as an editor, working with a digitally savvy news operation. You'll also need a deep understanding of the trends and coverage areas that matter in the Asia region and be required to identify what market participants are talking about, what they should be talking about, and what the most meaningful story at any given moment actually is across multiple beats. Ideally, you would also have worked at multiple levels of the newsroom -- from reporter to editor.

• Edit accurate, smart and readable stories across a broad range of topics under tight deadlines
• React quickly to unexpected stories and help break news
• Contribute to a range of platforms
• Cultivate and maintain collaborations with numerous Bloomberg teams

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Previous editing experience, preferably covering financial markets or companies
• Strong work ethic, ability to work steadily and calmly under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• A collaborative spirit and the commitment to innovate and experiment
