Bloomberg News is one of the biggest financial and business news organizations in the world. We lead the way in breaking news about mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and other events, enabling readers, viewers and listeners to stay ahead of the markets.

What’s the role?

Bloomberg News is seeking a reporter in our Hong Kong office to work on the Billionaires team. The team covers the world's wealthiest people and the person in this role will have responsibility for coverage in Asia.

We’ll trust you to:

  • calculate the net worth of billionaires using proprietary tools and methodologies
  • identify unknown billionaires
  • contribute articles and reporting for breaking news and special packages on wealth

You will also handle investigative stories for various Bloomberg media properties. Other responsibilities will include maintaining profiles on the Bloomberg Terminal and Bloomberg.com.

You will need to have:

  • Experience developing a deep source base across multiple industries and understand valuing public assets and private companies
  • Previous journalism experience is an advantage
  • Bachelors degree or above
  • Multiple language skills (i.e. Mandarin) are a plus
  • Knowledge of Excel is essential
  • Attention to detail is paramount
