Bloomberg Connectivity and Integration Solutions (CIS) deliver a strategic approach to Enterprise Technology design and delivery. Only Bloomberg CIS can combine technology products to manage integrated systems, Architects to analyze capital markets workflows and design enterprise wide solutions and the professional services to implement and manage changes at scale.

What’s the role?

The Bloomberg CIS business is enjoying an exciting period of growth and is currently seeking a dynamic, confident and self-motivated individual to join its rapidly expanding team of Connectivity and Integration Enterprise Technology Sales Representatives in Asia. This person will be part of a Global team and will be responsible for strategy, prospecting, pipeline, lead generation and referrals. The successful candidate will also be responsible for helping to drive the direction of our products working closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams based on client feedback, market research and conditions. While this candidate should be comfortable with technology in general, they will not be responsible for coding, data transforms or setting up infrastructure.

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate credibility with a proven competency and knowledge of the Capital Markets integration/technology industry and have a very good understanding of both buy and sell-side work flows including decision support, execution, position management, middle office and back office.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Partner with our buy-side and sell-side businesses to close new business with our existing client base and prospect new clients
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Solutions and Core Bloomberg groups to develop the Technology/Integration value proposition by gathering and collating market and customer intelligence
  • Develop and managing strategic customer relationships with decision makers and key people with influence to maximize sales opportunities across the enterprise
  • Achieve sales targets and metrics in both individual and collaborative sales
  • Coordinate and implement the full enterprise sales process from identification of leads to closing them
  • Respond to RFP's, establish Statements of Work (SOW) and create formal sales proposals
  • Understand key competitors or alternatives and successfully position our products advantages

You’ll need to have

  • Experience in sales / business development with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Very solid understanding of the technologies used in the Financial Markets industry
  • Demonstrated a consultative approach to enterprise sales approach and strategy
  • Highly proactive and confident in sales approach and strategy
  • Broad asset class coverage understanding across Financial Markets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout North Asia (Hong Kong, China, Korea and Taipei)
  • Mandarin Language (both written & spoken) a must
