Bloomberg Intelligence ("BI") provides a comprehensive view of industries, markets and their constituents. Our team of independent experts provide unsurpassed depth and breadth of research through written analysis, industry and market data, and interactive charting. Our work gives trading and investment professionals insight into the current state of industries and where they may be heading next.
As an experienced editor who thrives under real-time deadline pressure, you will edit research that is creative and insightful, while being accessible to the general reader. You’ll have an ability to translate jargon and complex discussions into clear language.
We'll trust you to:
- Edit and publish research under deadline pressure
- Edit copy to Bloomberg style while helping ensure accuracy and compliance
- Help maintain the quality of our coverage across a wide range of research on topics including companies, policy, litigation, markets, strategy and credit.
- Collaborate across our BI and news teams
- Be able to adjust to role changes when needed
You need to have:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive editing experience at a financial news outlet or in the financial services industry
- Familiarity with equity or credit research, or experience in financial news
- Outstanding written communication skills
- Experience working with analysts or with financial journalists
- Some experience on working with writers communicating in English as a second language
- The ability to collaborate with a wide range of personalities, and to keep calm while under immense deadline pressure
We'd love to see:
- Experience editing under pressure for a major wire service
- Experience editing online content
- Familiarity with the Bloomberg system
- Good oral communication and presentation skills
