Global Data makes Bloomberg the most sought-after data source in the world. We collect, analyze, and present data that informs clients' decisions - and moves markets. We collaborates with Sales, News, and Research and Development, while staying in tune with our client needs, contributing to the development of the Data Management products and fueling Bloomberg news stories with the data that we receive.

Bloomberg Supply Chain Analysis is one of the unique datasets which displays a visual road map of a company’s key customers, suppliers and competitors. With extensive research, our proprietary estimates provide additional insights to help users with investment idea generation and risk analysis by anticipating changes triggered by inter-company relationships within the supply chain.

We'll trust you to:

• Conduct independent research to estimate supply chain relationships mainly for listed companies in Greater China. Research process requires strong interpretation of financial statements, industry trends, market news and corporate events etc.
• Conduct client meetings to promote the value and use of the dataset such as live demos and research justifications. Our client base includes investment community, corporations and universities.
• Identify new data sources to enrich the dataset and innovative technological solutions for more efficient research process and sophisticated data analysis

What we look for?

• Degree in Finance/ Mathematics/ Computer Science or any related discipline
• 1-2 years equity research experience
• Strong communication skills to interact with a diversified portfolio of stakeholders including clients, sales, - news and regional co-workers
• Comfortable to work independently and communicate across time zones
• Basic understanding of data science/statistical analysis
• Fluent in both written English and Chinese

In addition, these skills and experiences can help distinguish you from other candidates for this role:

• Master’s degree in Financial Engineering, Financial Mathematics, or CFA, FRM
• Knowledge and experience in quantitative analysis and computer programming (eg. Python)
• High analytical skills and market awareness to generate actionable data insights for clients
• Strategic mindset in formulating sales campaigns, team collaborations and regional projects
• Strong interest in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sectors
• High proficiency in Mandarin
