Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is the indispensable source of information for the world's most influential business leaders.

The role:

Bloomberg Asia TV is seeking a freelance segment producer to complement our team in Hong Kong or Singapore, on a temporary and flexible basis which would result in about a week of full-time work a month. This individual will work with the interviews team to research, organize and produce editorially relevant guest conversations as part of our daily programming. The role entails pitching segment ideas, developing relationships with external guests, building interview segments, and organizing necessary graphics & video that contribute to the output. The segment producer must be able to communicate effectively to give guidance and direction to anchors, reporters and other staff, as well as have relationship-building people skills. The ideal candidate will show excellent news judgement to produce quality broadcasts and have an knowledge of business news and the financial markets. Language skills in either Mandarin or Cantonese would be a bonus to the role, but are not essential.

You will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Strong writing and excellent communication skills
• Experience producing live TV is ideal
• Knowledge of business news and the financial markets across Asia-Pacific
• Familiarity with digital media platforms and integration
• Ability to work under deadline pressure
• Flexibility with hours and early morning start times is required
• Mandarin or Cantonese skills a bonus, not essential
