Global Data makes Bloomberg the most sought-after data source in the world. We collect, analyze, and present data that informs clients' decisions - and moves the markets. We collaborate with Sales, News and Research and Development, while staying in tune with our client needs, contributing to the development of the Data Management products and fuelling Bloomberg news stories with the data that we receive.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals with entrepreneurial spirit to join the Global Data Equities team.

What's the role?

You'll analyze, maintain and process company financials from company filings for companies within the Greater China region and ensure the efficiency of the data management workflow in order to reach the highest level of timeliness and accuracy. You'll also contribute to the dissemination of information that aids financial professionals in their decision making process.

You need to have:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or any related discipline
• 1 to 2 years of experience working with Accounting/Financial Statements in Banking/Insurance
• Commitment and strong interest in enhancing and developing products
• Good communication skills to interact with market players/clients, Sales, News and other business units to gather feedback for product development
• Effective research and analytical skills
• Attention to details and capable of handling multiple projects
• Creative and flexible
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)

We'd love to see:

• Masters' degree in Business Administration, Financial Engineering, Financial Mathematics, or CFA
• Extensive financial statement knowledge and industry sector specialization
• Knowledge and experience with VBA and other computer programming
• Experience in applying market knowledge and converting financial data into meaningful analysis for evaluating performance of economy/stocks/financial products.
