What we create strengthens Bloomberg's brand, enables sales and customer service, and fosters employee engagement. Our work is strategic, insightful, and unified. Key to our strategy is how we uniquely blend content, design, and technology into exceptional experiences across online and offline channels and for audiences around the world.

We lead digital, print, environmental, interactive, and broadcast programs across all of Bloomberg’s businesses and internal groups. Our team has a strong hands-on and highly collaborative approach to both conceptual work and on-going production efforts. The team works across a global workflow, with staff in all of our major offices.

The Role:

Based in Hong Kong, the Head of Asia-Pacific Bloomberg Marketing Studio will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and operational excellence for the Studio’s various disciplines (digital, copy, design, and project management) across Asia-Pacific and partner closely with the global Studio leadership team and broader Marketing organization. The role reports directly to the Global Head of the Bloomberg Studio (based in New York).
This individual will oversee the activities for the entire Asia-Pacific Studio team and coordinate with channel leads across the globe as well as external agencies. This includes collaborating closely with the Global Head of Brand & Creative (London), Global Head of Video Production & Experiential Production (NY), Global Head of Digital Channels and Content (NY), and Global Head of Project Management (NY).

This individual will be responsible for providing leadership for programs focused on building awareness of our brand, commercial solutions for the industries we operate in, and employee engagement initiatives for audiences across Asia-Pacific. In addition, as a key member of the APAC marketing council, the Head of Asia-Pacific Bloomberg Marketing Studio Operations will represent the interests of the Bloomberg Studio organization and ensure collaboration and coordination with the Marketing Management & Strategy group, Global Events, and Global Marketing Operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for being the main strategic partner for the Bloomberg Studio in the region, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence across all disciplines, and making sure results are achieved, measured and reported.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Lead all Asia-Pacific Bloomberg Studio initiatives and activities and provide dotted-line leadership for the APAC Bloomberg Marketing Studio team members to develop and execute impactful and measurable marketing programs that build awareness, support commercial programs, and engage employees.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues in AMER and EMEA to identify global business priorities and determine how they can be implemented in region where appropriate
  • Collaborate with local Marketing Management and Events teams to define the Marketing strategy and goals based on the key objectives of the business in the region
  • Be an advocate for the Bloomberg brand and ensure that all marketing activities are aligned and support the overall brand
  • Constantly bring new and innovative ideas that support business objectives and show the value of Marketing
  • Partner with our Marketing Management and Events team to deliver effective programs and manage execution to the highest standards
  • Help to ensure proper integration and alignment of all Bloomberg Studio activities across Asia-Pacific

You'll need to have:

  • Experience in developing complex marketing plans and coordinating execution across multiple channels with internal and external partners
  • Successful track record in B2B marketing
  • Experience influencing and leading teams - with direct and/or dotted-lined reporting structures
  • Strong leadership and relationship management skills
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set and an ability to adapt and learn about new market trends and new audience opportunities
  • Ability to lead others by example to drive results throughout the region
  • Ability to multi-task in a time-pressured environment
  • Ability to successfully partner with Heads of Marketing, Sales, Product, Communications, Government -Relations and Philanthropy teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, accurate and willing to learn
  • Fluency in English. Mandarin would be a plus
  • Actively lead and participate in global conference calls with both New York and London. Have flexibility to attend sporadic evening and morning calls (once or twice a week)
  • Travel within the region as well as to London and New York on occasion (once or twice a year)

We’d love to see:

Prior experience in a large and sophisticated in-house digital and/or creative team
Prior experience operating in a fast-moving multinational company
