Bloomberg Global Facilities team is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to be based in Singapore or Hong Kong. You are a professional with validated experience in the industry to join the team to help support our wide network of offices in APAC.

What to expect?

On any given day, you will work closely with our APAC facilities and Security Operations team to assure Health and Safety compliance through a rigorous audit and remediation program in the region. You’ll ensure new build and refurbishment projects match on-site health and safety requirements during the planning and construction phase and retain both value & best safety practices post completion. Other opportunities include partnering closely with our Bloomberg Purchasing/Legal, Global Health and Safety, and local Facilities site managers on implementation of the Firm's Safety Policy.

Who we are looking for?

You are a strong individual who can commit to a strong Health and Safety working ethos. You play an active role in the Accident Investigation Team and record all health, safety and fire accidents on site. Producing reports, reviewing contractor risk assessments and providing strategy and mitigation to reduce risks to our people and to the firm are matters that are second nature to you. Your expertise is in leading and reviewing existing policies, to ensure consistency and clarity around all service lines across the region, as well as compiling formal reports regarding accidents and subsequent remedial actions following from subsequent investigations.

We'll trust you to:

  • Ensure we are compliant to local government regulations on health and safety
  • Be the accident/ incident database custodian maintaining a resilient accident records database for the region
  • Actively promote staff awareness and compliance of all health and safety policies and procedures of the company and to promote a safe and healthy environment for staff, clients, visitors and contractors
  • Design, develop and deliver creative training programs for Facilities team members and company employees. For example Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training.
  • Review and revise as required the department Permit to Work (PTW) system.
  • Report all reportable accidents in accordance with country and authority specific guidelines.
  • Develop the company health and safety strategy, as well as action plans resulting from accident investigations and or Property inspection reports as required to reduce the company risks.

You needto have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Health and/or Safety Discipline, and/or relevant work experience within a Health and Safety environment
  • Worked and audited to ISO 18001&ISO 14001 standards
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region
  • A working knowledge of the operational and technical infrastructure of financial firms and the financial markets
