What’s the role?

You will join Bloomberg as News Data Reporter in our Hong Kong bureau, to assume current News Data coverage across Asia Pacific. In this role, you will extract economic and commodities data from press releases under real-time deadline pressure and survey analysts ahead of indicator releases.

What are we looking for?

You will need to be accurate and fast in taking data and turning it into table-based stories for our clients, working closely with other reporters and editors to help with our news coverage. The ability to use Excel spreadsheets is required. Familiarity with VBA and macros is a plus. We are looking for fresh graduates who are eager to learn and have keen attention to details.

You'll need to have:

  • Prior coursework or involvement with the financial markets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential,
  • Familiarity with VBA and macros, is a plus
  • Ability to adapt to a fluid environment
  • Fluency in another Asian language is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
