Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is the indispensable source of information for the world's most influential business leaders.

The role:

Bloomberg TV is seeking a segment producer to complement our Asia Pacific team. This individual will work with the interviews team to research, organize and produce editorially relevant guest conversations as part of our daily programming. The role entails pitching content ideas, coordinating TV interviews, organizing necessary graphics & video, scripting and building segments for live TV output, and developing relationships within the business, finance and public relations communities. The segment producer must be able to communicate effectively to give guidance and direction to anchors, reporters and other stakeholders, as well as have relationship-building people skills. The ideal candidate will show excellent news judgement to produce quality broadcasts and have knowledge of business news and the financial markets. Language skills in either Mandarin or Cantonese would be an advantage.

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong English writing and excellent communication skills
  • Experience booking and/or producing for live TV
  • Knowledge of business news and the financial markets
  • Familiarity with digital media platforms and integration
  • Project ownership and problem solving skills, with the ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Flexibility on hours and early morning start times is required
  • Mandarin or Cantonese language skill an advantage, but not essential
