Whats the role?

Bloomberg’s Supply Chain Operations department is seeking a Planning Manager who will partner with various functions within the organization to lead demand, supply, and distribution planning functions for our customer products, primarily desktop hardware, network equipment, and authentication equipment. and optimize our inventory level and be able to perfectly support our customers.

What will I do?

You will be a high energy person with strong social skills who has demonstrated success with managerial role and will be responsible for:

• Leading Demand, Supply, and Distribution Planning function for our customer equipment, their components and other materials
• Working closely with various functions within the organization: Warehouse, Trade Compliance and Logistics, Quality, Accounting, our stakeholders, and our clients
• Work closely with our existing contract/component manufacturers for electronic hardware
• Phasing in new products and providing suggestions for new relationships
• Proposing and implementing Lead Time reduction initiatives with various suppliers across multiple product lines
• Achieving yearly goals for critical metrics such as Plan vs. Actuals, BIAS, Inventory turns, etc.
• Working to reduce global inventory
• Maintaining accuracy of physical inventory and conducting cycle counts, validating inventory and controls in place with a focus on loss prevention, fraud prevention, and improving operational efficiencies
• Maintaining customer record accuracy

What do I need to apply?

• Great energy and interpersonal skills with a focus in customer service
• Strong Leadership/ Management experience
• Great project management experience
• Good knowledge of material planning/management, S&OP, and inventory management
• Good knowledge of statistical forecasting and applying error analysis techniques to improve forecasting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
