What you’ll need at a high level:

  • A deep understanding of the flow of data around buy side and sell side firms
  • Your finger on the pulse when it comes to industry trends and changes to the regulatory landscape
  • A consultative approach, able to quickly understand and communicate the value proposition of Bloomberg Enterprise Solutions to clients and prospective clients
  • An ability to identify opportunities within assigned client base to lower clients TCO whilst increasing the Bloomberg ES footprint
  • A sound knowledge of the Customer's technology stack, workflows, and internal structure
  • European language speakers are often desired

What sort of roles are available?

We are always interested in chatting with driven, talented people about opportunities to join our team – whether that be Sales, Technical Account Management or Support. A couple of sample roles we frequently recruit for are;

Enterprise Sales;

You'll be responsible for sales of Reference Data, Real-Time data feeds and the Bloomberg Asset Valuation Service (BVAL) within your given client base. Working closely with clients and prospects, a focus of the role will be to gain a clear understanding of their business needs, and provide consultative solutions to build stronger relationships. Being an experienced sales professional, you will be used to meeting and exceeded demanding targets (revenue-generating and adoption/usage goals). You'll need to demonstrate credibility with a proven competency and knowledge of enterprise selling across buy side and sell side firms. You’ll have a really deep understanding of the flow of data around a financial organisation, who uses it and what for.

You’ll be able to demonstrate how the quality, reliability and timeliness of Bloomberg content and services will improve processes and comply with the increasing regulatory burden. With a true consultative approach, you’ll provide insight to clients upon the benefits of leveraging our cutting edge technology to effectively deliver, organize and use data will help to streamline their supply chain, creating value and generating efficiencies.

You’ll be comfortable interacting with C-level executives, experienced with long selling cycles and confident in communicating how our technology solutions will contribute to their overall business goals at a higher level.

Technical Account Manager;

You'll be the primary technical interface into Bloomberg for some of our largest clients. You'll be the trusted advisor they turn to when making major infrastructure decisions. Broadly speaking your responsibilities will fall into 3 core areas; Pre-sales, Implementation and Account Management.

You'll form deep, lasting partnerships at multiple levels, and be the advocate for the customer within Bloomberg, and also the advocate of Bloomberg with the customer.

Collaborating with your colleagues within our Enterprise Solutions team, you'll enable our customers to gain maximum benefit from their partnership with Bloomberg by helping them gain a detailed understanding of how our products and services can solve real problems for their business.

You will be service focussed, with customer satisfaction and relations being of the highest priority. On top of this, you will also be gifted in spotting opportunities to partner further with your clients, working closely with the sales team on reaching full commercial potential.
