The Role

Bloomberg Quicktake is seeking an interview booker to join our team in London. This individual will work with the new Emma Barnett weekly interview show to pitch, chase, book, and produce exclusive guests who will drive the conversation and be key to the show's success. The ideal candidate understands what makes a good interview and who makes a good guest. The role involves research, organization, production, and communication. The role entails developing story ideas that contribute to timely news-making interviews. The interviews producer must be able to communicate effectively to give guidance and direction to the host and other staff. The ideal candidate will show excellent news judgement to produce quality broadcasts and have an knowledge of news, culture, and social media. The candidate will be willing to manage small tasks and autonomous assignments towards the goal of making the best interview show on air.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is essential
  • Established network of contacts
  • Experience booking newsmakers for a prominent program
  • Strong writing and excellent communication skills
  • Experience with digital media platforms and integration
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Flexibility with hours is required
  • Attention to detail, sound judgment and problem solving capabilities
