Bloomberg is excited to partner again with Women Returners to host their annual Women’s Returner Circles in London: an initiative to support and engage talented women who have experience in financial services and are looking to return to full-time roles after a career break.

In 2018, Bloomberg will host two separate circles: one for the Financial Products department and one for the Global Data Department.

Returner Circle Format & Benefits to Participants

Bloomberg and Women Returners will host these one and a half day circles for a small group of returning professionals with specialised financial services experience. As a participant, you will have the unique opportunity to learn more about Bloomberg through targeted speaker sessions, business presentations, and networking with business leaders as well as members of the Bloomberg Women’s and Working Families Communities. You will participate in coaching workshops and exploratory career conversations to develop your personal brand and interview skills. You will also benefit from networking with a like-minded peer group. The day will comprise of activities and discussions to potentially match your career goals, experience, and skills, with relevant roles at Bloomberg.

Following each circle, participants may be invited to apply for a permanent role through a specific application process. A number of roles are available across each department. Whilst the roles are full-time and will require working as an integral part of a team, they will also involve a high level of autonomy.

Financial Products | What they are looking for:

Experience in financial markets working in a leading buy side, sell side or financial technology company.
Domain expertise across one or more asset classes, ideally working in or closely with the front office departments.
Great communication skills where you can convey complex ideas and solutions in a simple and concise way.
A commercial mind-set and aptitude to identify and develop leads and opportunities for other groups within the company.
An enthusiasm for relationship building and holding a strong network across the financial services industry.
A desire to work in an innovative and collaborative environment with responsibility and opportunity to make an impact.
(Preferred) Prior experience using the Bloomberg Professional Service.

Global Data | What they are looking for:

An interest and/or experience in industry fields such as: Data Analysis, Technical Development, Process Analysis, Technical Implementation, Financial markets, Project Management, Product Development, Leadership.
A desire to learn, or are familiar with: Statistical methods, Data Analysis, Quantitative analysis, computer programming, information technology skills, Financial Markets – Advanced excel skills.
Great verbal communication skills where you can convey complex ideas and solutions in a simple and concise way.
A desire to work in an innovative and collaborative environment with responsibility and opportunity to make an impact.
A ‘spirit of curiosity’ about solving problems with Data.

Timing

The Returner Circles will take place at Bloomberg’s new London office.

The Financial Products Circle: 27th & 28th February 2018.

The Global Data Circle: 6th & 7th March 2018.
