We are seeking a highly-motivated, talented individual to join the BloombergNEF (BNEF) London team in on an ongoing basis in a freelance capacity and undertake the editing of our successful podcast for BNEF – Switched On. We would expect the successful candidate to allocate 6 – 10 hours per week for this position. This role does not require someone to be based in London.

You’re someone with a keen eye for detail and interest in the energy transition would be beneficial! Your editing skills are strong, and you have a good eye for detail – you love to see the end cycle of the production and know that your work is flawless.

You will be based in our new London office, working as part of a global research team at BloombergNEF (BNEF) – the world's leading independent provider of analysis, tools, data and research to decision makers leading change in the energy system. Our data-driven research helps clients stay on top of developments across the energy sector, supported by the unique depth and breadth of the Bloomberg Terminal and bnef.com platforms.

What’s the role?

You will join as an editor for our weekly podcast, ‘Switched On’. You will be responsible for the post-production editing predominantly and will be expected to be able to keep up to date with presenting the clean edit on a tight deadline, week by week. Its fast paced, challenging but very rewarding to know that the end result goes out to clients globally.

We will trust you to:

• Work with raw files to clean up and pull together the edits
• Communicate with the Head of Product to ensure alignment on vision and share feedback
• Work remotely to create the end product
• Occasionally sit in during initial recordings
• Input audio where required (for example intro music)

You need to have:

• Ability to work to tight deadlines with a fast turnarounds
• Strong editing skills, preferably post-production
• Attention to detail
• Experience working independently
• Track record of producing high quality audio content
• Ability to work flexibly
