Bloomberg is seeking a Technical Project Manager with background in leading enterprise platform projects and a passion for infrastructure automation. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for hands on project management, while leveraging deep technical expertise in a fast paced and dynamic environment. The candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to collaborate and lead multi-platform initiatives, ensuring solutions are delivered on-time and within scope.

We are looking for technical project managers to help us execute on all of our challenging goals. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers and business counterparts to scope out, track, manage and deliver our key functionality. This PM role is in engineering, so you’ll need to be able to partner and work closely with engineers and understand technology terms and concepts, spot risks and issues, and work to solve them.

• Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring that scope, status, resources and progress are tracked and communicated
• Team up with our engineers to make them more efficient and better able to focus on executing
• Spot risks and issues and work to solve them
• Learn engineering concepts and patterns
• Contribute to our scaled agile planning and execution

You’ll need to have:

• Proven experience managing technical projects with an advanced understanding of project execution in an infrastructure or systems software environment
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to partner with others to solve problems
• Extensive "hands-on" infrastructure technology experience
• Experience working with trading platforms and analytics applications, across various asset classes
• Outstanding leadership experience, with an emphasis on executing projects in a matrixed organization and an ability to manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders
• Proven technical expertise with enterprise platforms and operating systems with focus on infrastructure automation

We’d love to see:

• Understanding of basic programming concepts
• Background/coursework in computer science or related field
• Knowledge of and experience in agile or scaled agile
