Bloomberg is seeking a senior individual to join the Buy-Side Product department as the Business Manager for our Buy Side Compliance product. You will report into the Head of Buy-side products and be joining a highly motivated and successful team passionate about developing the existing product portfolio into an end-to-end offering for our buy-side clients.
You will be charged with the development of a business strategy that will take the Compliance capabilities forward recognising innovations in technology, evolving industry trends as well as ensuring our tools adhere to, and can flex with, ever changing legal standards, regulatory requirements and client in-house policies. 
You should have a deep knowledge base of the institutional asset management industry and would be expected to understand the landscape, the regulatory spirit and intent and how that will continue to evolve and factor into the needs of the investment manager. You will also have a track record of working with data and technology and developing innovative and commercially viable solutions based on that.

We’ll trust you to:

•  Position the Compliance product for future success by combining your industry knowledge, passion for data and willingness to adopt technology trends with our existing products and capabilities.
•  Communicate the vision within and outside Bloomberg – use your strong communication skills to build consensus with senior leadership internally while also carrying the vision externally with clients, prospects, and the broader industry in an audience appropriate manner.
•  Keep abreast of regulatory developments and have an analytical mind enabling you to decipher the complexities and intentions of regulation and how they can be enforced by leveraging technology
•  Work towards a broader Buy-side vision – bring expertise and perspective, as well as an open mind to exploring and shaping the form and structure of the Bloomberg offerings to the buy-side.
•  Own the life-cycle of building out new compliance solutions, including creative ideas to differentiate our offering, presenting the vision, communicating the value proposition, and delivering outstanding solutions by working closely with engineering and collaborating with business leadership, sales, and our client partners

You’ll need to have:

•  Passion for Product Development

Requires 10 + years of hands-on product development experience with a track record of innovation and corresponding delivery


•  Deep understanding of Buyside Portfolio Management workflows specifically as they relate to regulations and compliance
•  Detailed understanding of the Asset Management Industry including a broad working knowledge of key products, business dynamics, economic drivers, and critical connectivity partners across key market sub-segments
•  Transformative leadership experience – a track record of building and transforming a product including evolving an organisation focused on providing tools into being a provider of broader capabilities
•  Strong oral and written communication skills
