What's the Role?

Due to business growth there is an opportunity to join the Service Delivery leadership team within Enterprise Data in EMEA. In this leadership role, you are responsible for leading, motivating and developing the Content Specialists who serve as the primary point of contact for the content-related needs of ED customers.

As a liaison between the customer, ED teams and other Bloomberg colleagues, they own all client content interaction during the pre-sale process and as well as assist in post-sales questions. We are interested in candidates with a proven background and experience in dealing with one or more areas of data analytics and are especially interested in candidates with experience implementing innovative solutions with real-world data.

You'll also be responsible for collaborating with the appropriate internal teams to clarify behaviour and availability of certain securities and data fields. At times, you'll also instigate dialogue with internal and external business units to fill occasional content gaps identified through in results of your analysis. You'll possess excellent communication, analytical, data analysis and programming skills, facing off to clients as well as multiple internal groups with the overall intent of driving success for the Company and delivering platinum service to our clients.

As part of the leadership of our Enterprise Data team in the region, you'll enable our customers to gain maximum benefit from their partnership with Bloomberg by helping them gain a detailed understanding of how our products and services can solve real problems for their business.

We'll trust you to:

1) PROVIDE LEADERSHIP & TALENT MANAGEMENT

• Motivate reps to perform at the peak of their potential and build team spirit
• Coach & develop team members
• Give clear, constructive and actionable feedback
• Collaborate closely with other offices (HK/SP/AU/TO/NYC in particular) to drive projects and maintain a cross-regional operation.

2) GATHER CONTENT AND PRE-ENGAGEMENT ANALYSIS:

• Work with the client to understand their entire content needs:
• Handle data related migration issues to resolution
• Understand the clients’ data distribution requirements and work with the Technical Account Managers and the rest of the engagement team to recommend a solution
• Develop a deep understanding of the data delivery mechanisms within ED in order to recommend the most suitable for the needs of the client
• Understand user and application types and relevant internal, contributor and exchange data sets

3) DEVELOP ON-GOING SERVICE IMPROVEMENT:

• Design, execute and deploy solutions aimed at solving high-impact business problems using machine learning, natural language processing, and related data science techniques
• Prepare the exploratory data analyses, proof-of-concept modelling, and business cases necessary to generate partner consensus and internal support for your projects to drive efficiency
• Regularly communicate the vision and status of your projects, ensuring that accurate expectations are set and met across all levels of partners

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience
• Shown success in using large amounts of data to solve analytical problems
• Python, C/C++, Java or other programming languages. (Production level coding)
• Experience working with financial market data
• Broad knowledge of all asset types and instrument identifiers
