The Role:

These are exciting times in the news business, with the tradition of narrative stories complemented by high-speed, audience-targeted articles that use algorithms and automation to find the signals hidden in large sets of data. Our group is looking for a programmer/analyst who will write the programs, templates and testing scenarios to drive news stories. You will work across departments, gain experience with the full spectrum of our financial and sentiment data and help create programming standards for a new way of breaking news.

Qualifications:

• Experience with scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, etc.
• Experience or education in Journalism
• Good communication skills are essential as you will be working closely with our business counterparts to determine the future shape of our product

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Statistics
• Keen interest and understanding of financial markets
• Interest in understanding and detecting data patterns
