Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is setting out to become the indispensable source of information for the world's most influential business leaders.

Bloomberg is seeking an experienced video editor for our new live streaming network on Twitter. We expect you to be editorially focused, with writing and editing skills to craft a high quality video. You will work on our ambitious news-driven explainer videos, reports and quickly turn around breaking news video. Applicants should be comfortable working as a one-person-band, taking a story from idea to final product including story development, writing, shooting and post production. You will collaborate with the live programming team on editorial needs for daily segments, and Bloomberg journalists on story ideas and execution. This position requires flexible hours to accommodate production schedules, including weekends.

You will also collaborate with Bloomberg writers and editorial teams to develop global video stories on technology, politics, luxury, autos, science, energy and other news. Our videos are based off of breaking news, features and original pitches. You will look for creative ways to tell a story using interviews, props, graphics and other techniques.

You’ll need to have:

  • Recent/relevant production and post-production experience
  • A passion for news and an understanding of editorial standard methodologies
  • Video editing experience, preferably in Adobe Premiere and Creative Suite
  • Experience working with DSLR and Cinema Cameras
  • Writing, scripting and graphic skills
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel (including nights, weekends and holidays)
