The Events Driven Feeds Group in Bloomberg provides machine readable news, news and social media based analytics, news sentiment indicators, economics releases, macroeconomic indicators and corporate events to clients as a solution for their algorithmic trading needs. Whether it is feeding low latency machine readable data in real-time to an execution algorithm or daily updates to nourish portfolio reconstruction activities, our state of the art solutions give clients the edge with a combination of unique data sets and exclusive journalism. Our client base includes asset managers, hedge funds and proprietary trading desks of major financial institutions employing quantitative based methodologies for algorithmic trading.

Our team is looking for a Sales Specialist to work alongside our Sales Generalists to help identify new sales opportunities, demonstrate the value of the product to prospects, manage prospective client P.O.C.’s and grow product usage within our existing customer base. In this role you'll also be required to work closely with our product team to provide important feedback on our existing products and what enhancements should be considered a priority based on quantifiable opportunities.

We'll trust you to:

  • Achieve sales targets for assigned territory
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market and competitive landscape
  • Create systematic sales lead generation initiatives
  • Educate Sales Generalists on how to identify opportunities and key stakeholders within this space
  • Keep product team informed of client feedback

You'll need to have:

  • Sales specialist experience, ideally in algorithmic and quantitative trading
  • Ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of skill levels both in verbal and written form
  • Excellent analysis and problem solving
  • Confidence to work with clients ranging from developers to CTOs
  • Good organisational and team collaboration skills
  • A consultative approach, with good listening skills and an ability to identify and sell to clients’ needs
