Global QA is crucial in setting a standard for quality assurance across Bloomberg. Global QA performs critical testing on the Bloomberg Terminal, Bloomberg Tradebook and Execution & Order Management products to ensure we are meeting release deadlines and delivering the highest quality of software to our customers.

What's the role?

Global Software Quality Assurance is seeking a highly motivated detail-oriented individual to join our global team. Based in our London office your responsibilities will include performing critical quality assurance testing on our Bloomberg products: Core, Tradebook and SSEOMS; dynamic updating of test scripts and processes, confirmation of software enhancements and bug fixes and the ability to handle multiple builds and frequent releases. You will be expected to liaise with other internal departments such as Research and Development, Sales, and Product Management in order to ensure we are meeting our deadlines and delivering the highest quality of software to our customers. Other responsibilities include project management and the maintenance of automated scripts.

We'll trust you to:

• Execute manual or automated test cases and report the results.
• Detailed recording of defects and re-test defects
• Communicate and co-ordinate with offshore teams
• Reviewing of complex Business Requirement Specifications
• Test plan creation
• Close working partnership with Research and Development during all phases of the test and release cycle

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher education
• Previous QA experience a plus (ISEB/ISTQB beneficial)
• Experience in developing automation of test functions
• Proactive with a can do attitude
• Outstanding attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure
• Strong financial market understanding

• Experience with Bloomberg preferred
