Our Team

Our Global Information Systems Group (Infosys) is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting Bloomberg’s the internal IT systems, including our global corporate network, and the hardware and software to support nearly 19,000 employees in more than 170 offices around the world. We are also responsible for the audio-visual technology in all of Bloomberg’s public spaces (including training and conference rooms), that host more than 500,000 visitors to Bloomberg offices each year.

Our employees rely on the technology solutions and support Infosys provides to do their jobs in a fast-paced, highly-demanding, technology-focused environment. We are a close-knit, hardworking team organized into 6 groups: Service Desk, Desktop Technicians, Infrastructure, Audio-Visual, Corporate Security, and Mobile Technology. Each of these groups develop, deploy and rely upon a complex set of proprietary and third-party systems to deliver the services we provide; and those systems are the key to understanding where we are doing our jobs well, and where we need to improve.

For example, our 19,000 employees generate more than 320,000 service requests each year through a ticketing system that drives both human and automated services—from software download to a Desktop dispatch. We handle approximately 1200+ software titles, as well as, monitor and implement security for the entire corporate network that consists of 28,000 PCs, 50,000 screen displays and 120,000 network connections.

What’s the role?

Our team is responsible is for gathering technical specifications and business requirements to design solutions for the various business units within Bloomberg. These solutions can range from improving work efficiency through to delivering critical business capabilities. You’ll be overseeing projects that deliver secure systems that meet the business requirements.
You’ll be working closely with our internal business clients, vendors, other IT teams and our Security Architects, using your project management skills and technical ability to execute successful implementations and develop new ideas.

We'll trust you to:

• Deliver or direct the delivery of IT systems to our internal clients
• Use standards created by our team and our security team in the systems you design and deliver
• Produce and share documentation for those systems
• Use your project management, time and organization skills to drive multiple projects simultaneously – balancing the workload while being flexible and adaptive when priorities shift

What do I need to apply?

• A Bachelor’s Degree in either Computer Science, Information Technology or an Engineering Discipline
• Experience designing and implementing one or more of the following for medium to large enterprises: Windows Desktop Reference Architecture, Enterprise Collaboration Suites, Enterprise Mobility Platforms, Identity Management Systems, User Environment Management Systems, Process Automation Solution
• Familiarity with network firewalls and proxies and how they impact system design
• Proficiency in network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, SSL, DNS and SNMP
• Experience working with Desktop Virtualization (Citrix/VMware platforms)
• Experience with Active Directory or Windows OS Administration
• Strong project management experience, working within a complex and fast paced environment and delivering complicated projects on time
• Great organization and time management skills
