Our team:

As part of the Incident Management and Business Continuity (IMBC) Team at Bloomberg you will be part of a global team working to ensure that Bloomberg is prepared and ready to handle incidents effectively, with the least amount of impact to our business, clients, or brand. You will act as a trusted advisor for multi-functional teams throughout their IMBC planning lifecycle. You will handle incidents, lead the business impact analysis, facilitate continuity planning, verify plan efficiency via exercises, analyse risks, and drive mitigation strategies.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Support EMEA implementation of our global policies and procedures crafted to minimize impacts in the event of a business disruption clearly communicating impact to physical assets, technology, and people as well as risks to operational recovery capabilities
  • Support the broader team to onboard a new third party IMBC platform to improve our planning and response capabilities
  • Partner with various internal support teams to identify and assess threats and events that have the potential to impede life, safety, or operational incidents
  • Lead impact of physical incidents that pose a threat to our personnel and operations by leading local, regional or crisis incident management teams to a timely and efficient incident resolution including management of notifications via our emergency notification system (ENS)
  • Assist in the implementation of a mature and dynamic business continuity programme by completing all Business Continuity pillars including BCM system integration, BIA reviews, recovery capabilities risk assessments, and evaluating 3rd party key dependencies
  • Partner with enterprise Business Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Chief risk officers, Internal Audit and other key partners to report on governance, compliance and regulatory operational resiliency requirements
  • Develop and implement IM/BCP trainings at all levels to include on-line courses, introductory training, testing of tools, table-top and simulation exercises, and manager forums as appropriate
  • Supervise metrics and key performance indicators to demonstrate readiness, enable identification of gaps, and improve resiliency of the organization
  • Identify enrichment opportunities to the firm’s Incident Management & Business Continuity processes and coordinate with the business and leadership on improvements and efficiencies

You'll need to have:

  • 3 - 5 years crisis/incident management and business continuity or related experience developing new business continuity capabilities, handling incidents through resolution, remediating gaps, and continuously supervising and improving resiliency to align with changing business needs
  • *Please note we use years of experience as a guide but we certainly will consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary for the role

  • Good ability to influence internal and external partners to achieve program success
  • Shown ability to lead projects involving multi-functional team using excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to optimally deliver program training to diverse teams
  • Demonstrable ability to perform under stress and consistently meet program deadlines
  • An understanding of broader risk and enterprise risk management principles
  • Experience in Scrum principles and a solid grasp of supporting tools such as Jira would be an additional advantage

We’d love to see:

  • Work experience in a large organization implementing global standards, policies and procedures
  • Experience with Incident Management and business continuity management systems and tools
  • Experience handling incidents for a financial, software, data, or media company with a global footprint
  • Experience in implementing standards, preparing evidence, and communicating with European regulating authorities
  • Familiarity with Third-Party Risk (TRP) Management, including but not limited to, assessment and implementation of TRP resiliency risk mitigation strategies
  • Have an active MBCP, CRMP, CISSP, CRISC, CSM, CISA or other relevant certification(s)
