An exciting opportunity has become available to be part of Bloomberg’s indirect tax team based in London. You will be responsible for providing commercially focused VAT technical advice to the organisation globally, supporting all areas but with a focus on taking ownership and partnering with the media business. You will report directly into the Global indirect tax lead. 

We will trust you to:

• Work with the London indirect tax team and regional tax teams, to determine in a timely manner, where Bloomberg has a requirement/forthcoming requirement to register for VAT. Specifically, tracking global ESS VAT changes and the impact to Bloomberg
• Provide VAT advice on new products that Bloomberg develops
• Provide VAT advice on new legal entity structures
• Lead global VAT/GST technical projects, such as intercompany reviews
• Review new commercial agreements such as customer and vendor agreements, tax indemnifications etc
• Be involved in VAT audits including liaising with LBK/advisors
• Develop the VAT technical skillset of the global tax team members

You’ll need to have:

• Enjoys working in a fast moving and constantly changing environment
• Experience of working in industry either full time or through a secondment
• A minimum of three years TMT VAT experience

• CTA an advantage
• Candidates must be hands-on in approach and be a self starter
• Excellent communicator, both written and oral
• Results oriented
