Marketing Manager, Bloomberg Connects App

Bloomberg Connects is a rapidly-growing, free app offering digital guides to museums, galleries, and cultural spaces around the world.  Launched in November 2019, the app features engaging, multi-media guides with insightful and unique content exclusive to each of our partners such as The Guggenheim, MoMA PS1, Serpentine Galleries, The Courtauld, The Institute of Contemporary Art, and many more.  The venture is a collaboration between Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg Philanthropies and aims to broaden access to arts and culture worldwide.

With the number of organizations and users on the platform growing rapidly each month, we are looking for a strategic London-based marketer to help build the Bloomberg Connects brand and drive audience awareness and acquisition.  We will look to you to work hand-in-hand with the teams at our cultural partners and support them in developing marketing programs that drive awareness and usage of their guides both on and offsite.  We seek someone with the ability think strategically while also operating on a tactical level. 

We will trust you to:

  • Develop strategies and campaigns that help our cultural partners drive app awareness, support the acquisition of new users, and drive usage of their digital guides on the app platform.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cultural partners, regularly meeting with their marketing teams to ensure launch and on-going programs are successful, and provide them tools, templates and support needed to ensure success
  • Track and share best practices and recommendations for marketing and promotional initiatives undertaken by our partnerships partners including onsite signage, web and social promotions, email, etc.
  • Work closely with app partner marketing teams to deeply understand upcoming guides/content updates and integrate into our marketing efforts
  • Develop co-branded and content-driven campaigns that build awareness and drive acquisition
  • Partner with broader marketing team – including social, performance analytics and design teams -  to develop programs to build community and engagement among users and partners
  • Build and manage an overall marketing and content calendar, brand guidelines and creative assets and manage online marketing resource hub
  • Help manage EMEA-based marketing and advertising relationships beyond our cultural partners, as needed.

  • Be innovative and creative to bring new ideas to the team

We’d love to see:

  • A good understanding of Arts & Culture
  • Successful track record in consumer marketing
  • Strong project management and problem solving skills with an ability to create project plans and manage through seamless execution
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set and an ability to adapt and learn a new market

You need to have:

  • Ability to drive campaign management and audience acquisition
  • Ability to multi-task in a time pressure environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
