Bloomberg’s Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS) is a comprehensive suite of risk management tools that delivers consistent, consolidated results across client’s entire firm. Powered by Bloomberg’s world-class pricing library, market data and mortgage cash flow engine, MARS enables front office, risk and collateral professionals to analyze their trading and investment portfolios, handle and mitigate their exposure and ready themselves for any turn of events.
We are seeking a Product Manager to join the MARS Enterprise Risk Product department as an individual contributor to focus on the Collateral product in our London office. As part of the team, you will research, support and promote solutions our MARS Collateral product. You will play an active role in our client's experience starting from pre sale, quality assurance, product feedback, collaborating and contributing to sales.
You will need to have derivatives background with strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle, data and project management and communications skills and a strong knowledge of collateral management solutions and its integration with the broader ecosystem and be able to explain complex analytics as well as recommending best practices. You will be working closely with sales on running demos, conducting testing/reconciliation, managing product needs for production clients, and working on risk related projects to help improve and expand our existing risk platform.

We’ll trust you to:

  •  Work with Product Manager(s) and engineering to develop plans for our solutions, including creative and effective ideas to differentiate our offering
  •  Work collaboratively with partners including sales and implementations teams throughout the sales cycle. This includes presale demos and proposals, client training and on boarding, communication of product enhancements and identifying up sell opportunities
  •  Handling the support of new and existing clients from product perspective, including insuring the risk analytics and workflow are set up to client’s expectations and understanding and providing feedback on client needs, competitor intelligence and market trends
  •  Training and point of escalation for help desk, sales, implementation for product capabilities and potential issues, and, when necessary, coordinating internally to get them addressed

You’ll need to have:

  •  5+ years of experience* working in financial services, particularly collateral management industry
  •  Strong understanding of collateral management best practices across repo and derivative markets across regions
  •  Understand evolving Regulatory environment and changes that impact the business and our clients (e.g. Uncleared Margin Rules, FINRA 4210, LIBOR transition)
  •  Experience with cleared and bilateral derivative products, valuations, security and market data, with strong understanding of end-to-end flows
  •  Please note we use years of experience as a guide but we certainly will consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
