The Philanthropy & Engagement team harnesses the company’s resources and the unique expertise and talent of its employees, coordinating the company's partnerships with cultural and charitable organisations globally as well as employee volunteering opportunities across our entire organisation.

What are we looking for?

An enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Global Philanthropy & Engagement team to manage various charitable programs with a particular focus on education. Bloomberg Philanthropy is core to the culture of Bloomberg and has both an internal and external focus. This role will support with the delivery of the company's flagship education programme, Bloomberg Startup, executing skills based mentoring and engagement programmes. Flexibility in terms of hours and approach is essential.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a consistent track record of delivering education programmes to young people, as well as experience of working in partnership with charities. You can work independently, prioritise and multi-task, you also have confidence when dealing with a wide range of people and projects at various levels.

We'll trust you to:

  • Delivery of a range of workshops and mentoring programmes through Bloomberg LP's flagship education programme, Bloomberg Startup
  • Be the key contact for a number of education non-profit partners, managing all requests for support and escalating to the Volunteering Manager when necessary
  • Coordinate and execute special education volunteering projects including global campaigns and other targeted events
  • Design any relevant workshop content, including briefing documents, presentation slides and evaluation forms
  • Coordinate communication with all Bloomberg Startup volunteers, including volunteer recruitment, mailing lists and the Bloomberg Startup volunteer inbox
  • Day to day data entry on our Best of Bloomberg volunteer system to track and measure all employee volunteering including post event metrics
  • Coordinating all DBS Checks for Bloomberg Startup mentors
  • Support the Philanthropy team in developing meaningful content for internal and external communications on education volunteering programmes as required

You'll need to have :

  • Experience of designing and delivering education programmes for young people
  • Ability and desire to build and maintain strong relationships with team and applicable internal and external contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively coordinate simultaneous projects, and successfully prioritise multiple tasks with sound judgement
  • Resourceful, motivated, efficient, dedicated and customer service oriented
  • Ability to perform and adapt under pressure
  • Strong overall computer skills, and proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a global team
  • Ability to protect confidential and sensitive information of the organisation
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to education, charitable work and volunteering
