Bloomberg UK is looking for a multi-skilled video producer/editor to create eye-catching and compelling content, exclusively focused on UK news, issues, and features, for our social and streaming news platforms. We'll trust you to pitch UK-centric ideas, collaborate with Bloomberg News reporters, and produce content across a wide range of local and regional topics for our young, connected, informed and influential global audience.

This producer/editor role will take the lead on UK content for all Bloomberg UK and Quicktake. The candidate should be well versed in UK affairs, local issues, and trending topics from London to Cardiff, Belfast to Edinburgh. Bloomberg launched a significant expansion of its UK offering in 2022 and you'll play a key part in growing our audience in the UK and beyond.

We’ll trust you to be an energetic self-starter with an interest in business, technology, politics, climate, culture and more. You’ll have the skills to research, write, film and edit video for multiple platforms and know how to make that video stand out in a crowded field. You’ll help attract new viewers around the world with unique content that outsmarts the competition.

Who we are:

Bloomberg UK is a consumer news subscription service, with financial, business, personal finance and policy coverage, backed by one of the UK's biggest newsrooms. Quicktake was launched in 2017 as Bloomberg's global news network for the social, mobile, streaming world. We're seeking a confident video editor to help expand the UK's and Quicktake's digital video publications.

You’ll need to have:

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects, Audition and other Creative Suite applications an attractive plus)
• Complete and thorough understanding of U.K. issues, trends and leaders
• Ability to produce, film and/or edit where required
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Spent time in a live news/production environment
• Strong editorial, storytelling and communication skills
• A background in, and passion for journalism
