Bloomberg's acquisition of BRAIS is complemented by macro strategy and research, a leading provider of benchmark and strategy indices, portfolio analytics, risk and attribution models, and portfolio construction tools. BRAIS's benchmark indices span global markets covering multiple asset classes, most notably the Barclays Family of Aggregate Bond Indices. Bloomberg currently participates in the index business through the Bloomberg Commodity Index, also known as BCOM (formerly the UBS-Dow Jones Commodities Index), and the Bloomberg AusBond Indices (formerly the UBS Australia Bond Index family).

What's in it for you:

The European Credit Strategist position will be responsible for generating insights into the key credit themes, macro and state trends, and performance of the Bloomberg Barclays Global Aggregate Bond Index, Eurodollar Global Aggregate Bond Index, and Bloomberg Barclays Pan-European Aggregate Bond Index.

The analysis will be based on the Barclays/ Bloomberg Bond Indices and data sets as well as Bloomberg's portfolio analysis tools including PORT, FIW, IN, DRSK, and SRSK, Bloomberg Intelligence data and analysis, and third party data vendors where appropriate.

You need to have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional buy and/or sell side experience as a European strategist.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the Bloomberg Terminal and bond functionality.
  • Ability to be a self-starter, independent thinker and collaborative team player.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, with CFA designation or MBA preferred.
