Every day hundreds of thousands of clients use the Bloomberg Terminal and rely on our real-time news and data to analyse the markets and make trading decisions. We ingest data from hundreds of newswires around the world to keep our clients informed.

The Event Alerts team is building a new product so our clients can get more than the news they need before they know they need it. Event Alerts pushes relevant and sometimes hard to find content to our users so that they can make better and more informed investment decisions without missing any key developments.

Our clients need alerts on any major event that affects market conditions – everything from an analyst recommendation or an earnings report to news readership activity or a sudden move in equity prices. Our goal is to give them an overview of what is happening in the market and send instant notification on critical market moving events which are most relevant to their interests. We make recommendations based on our clients’ day-to-day usage of the Bloomberg Terminal.

The product is entirely developed by our London-based Engineering team. Currently, we are scaling out our infrastructure to handle more event types and extending our feature set significantly. This is a new area and strategic focus for the company, and we need strong engineers to join our team.
