Who we are:

Bloomberg Asset and Investment Manager (AIM), is our award-winning buy-side order management system. We build a platform that hundreds of our customers use to manage their portfolios. They rely on our platform to facilitate the entire trade life cycle. In the past few years, our focus has been on removing legacy code and re-architecting our system with the latest tools. With the complexity of the trading world and such high trading volumes, working in AIM allows you to tackle some of the most sophisticated problems in the trading world.

Our application is written in TypeScript, but you will get exposure to the full stack - including C++ and Python back end services. We put a special emphasis on performance testing, automation, and unit/integration testing. We embrace Agile and InnerSource. We collaborate with many Engineering teams, and contribute to their codebases. We are active in the OSS community whenever possible, actively working with TC39, contributing to TypeScript and other OSS projects.

We’ll trust you to:

• Design and build feature-rich front-end applications
• Work with business to flesh out requirements, collaborate with other engineering groups on new features and release them to our users whilst keeping the system as stable as ever
• Be creative to take on highly sophisticated problems
• Help others and share your knowledge in order to drive the growth of the team
• We contribute back to the OSS community whenever possible, actively working with TC39, contributing to TypeScript and other OSS projects, so you will too

You'll need to have:

• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript knowledge
• Experience designing and building client workflows and UIs
• A passion for testing, rapid delivery, and continuous integration
• A solid understanding of UNIX/Linux operating systems
• A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience
