What’s the role?

We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our London team, with the exciting remit of development of the MiFID II solution within the TOMS Sell-Side Fixed Income solution. First and foremost, you’ll be the subject matter expert for MiFID II related concerns in the OMS, overseeing all MiFID II deliverables in the TOMS solution. You’ll construct full plan and track risks, issues and milestones to ensure all aspects of the build are covered. Operating in this influential role will require you to develop relationships with regulators, current / prospective clients and your peers in product management and technology to ensure TOMS is compliant as an OMS under MiFID II.

TOMS aims to provide a streamlined workflow between sales and trading, while providing a full audit and the details necessary to furnish downstream MiFID II services. Today, TOMS provides a key function in the pre-trade, in-trade and post-trade world, which will undoubtedly grow under MiFID II. This role is a key role due to the importance of MiFID II to our client base and will provide the opportunity to grow within a product team dedicated to provided order management solutions to sell-side fixed income clients.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Own the overall plan for all MiFID deliverables and dependencies to ensure they are delivered on time, to specification, and that all development milestones are met
  • Update all stakeholders on status of the MiFID projects
  • Manage and mitigate risks to ensure successful delivery of MiFID deliverables
  • Understand all Bloomberg MiFID services and how TOMS interacts with them
  • Understand challenges in the industry related to MiFID and be able to explain how TOMS solves for these challenges
  • Understand the regulation and converse knowledgably on all aspects internally and externally
  • Work with marketing and sales to ensure our solution is positioned correctly to our clients
  • Present the vision, value proposition, and development progress to senior management
  • Work collaboratively with other Product Managers to ensure a smooth integration across functions
  • Document workflows and how our solutions resolve those workflows
  • Assist in responding to RFIs and RFPs specific to TOMS solutions
  • Present our solutions to clients, senior management and our sales team
  • Train and ensure our sales team are equipped to sell our solutions
  • Travel to continental Europe in support of sales opportunities

You’ll need to have:

  • Strong understanding of MiFID II regulation
  • Track record in product development in Financial Technology
  • Deep domain expertise of fixed income instruments including interest and credit derivatives
  • Understanding of sales and trader workflows
  • Highly motivated, consensus builder, collaborates well in a team
  • Detail-oriented with solid analytic skills
  • Ability to articulate functional architecture of a system
  • Excellent presentation skills including written, graphic and verbal
  • Ability to engage senior technology staff both internally & externally
  • Ability to influence cross functional teams without formal authority
  • Software development process (Agile methodology preferred)
  • Product lifecycle including product launch, adoption and education
  • Project management (status, risks, issues, dependencies)
