Bloomberg’s Trade Order Management Solutions (TOMS) provides fixed income sell-side firms with the capabilities to efficiently manage inventory, risk, P&L, compliance and straight-through processing. The Role:

As a key member of our established TOMS Tradedesk team you will be responsible for ensuring our sell-side clients receive the highest level of customer service possible. Using our 'Instant Bloomberg' chat system and innovative tools such as BSHARE, you will help clients make better, faster decisions using the power of Bloomberg TOMS and respond to any queries that they have.

The team also works closely with account management, sales and product to influence client usage, drive product improvement and share their expertise within the wider business and Analytics department. This role will require an individual who wants to help be a part of the growing exceptional customer service beyond all previously recognised levels.

Some of our TradeDesk Analysts challenge themselves in an exciting leadership role. Some dive deeper and are Specialists in our more critical product offerings like Compliance and Electronic Trading. Others utilize their visionary and analytical expertise in a role in Product. Another option is into one of Account Management or Sales teams. The role can be broken down into the below 3 core areas:

  • You'll leverage your product knowledge and acquired client intel to build and maintain credible relationships with your clients
  • You'll exceed client expectations by taking ownership and driving resolution.
  • You'll create clear and up-to-date documentation of client needs
  • You'll proactively communicate effectively with external stakeholders

Product and Domain Expertise - You'll know your customers' business, our competitors, and Bloomberg's product offerings

  • You'll proactively develop your knowledge of our products and our customers' workflows
  • You'll share and build knowledge across the business
  • You'll apply product knowledge to add value to the client experience
  • You'll stay ahead of what's happening in the financial markets and understand the impact on our clients

Business Impact - Business Impact is the value add brought to internal stakeholders, including Product, Sales, Implementation & Engineering

  • You'll generate leads and contribute to Sales campaigns
  • You'll validate, analyse and prioritize product enhancement requests and fixes for Product and Engineering
  • You'll provide valuable customer intelligence that drives product improvements and sales performance

At a minimum, we require that you:

  • Have experience in sell-side markets and great understanding of the full trade life cycle.
  • Previous knowledge of an OMS or other electronic trading systems
  • A self-starter, proactive team player with strong multi-tasking skills
  • Attention to detail with proactive problem solving skills
  • Available for occasional travel
  • Knowledge of connectivity protocols such as FIX, TNP, XML is a plus
  • Business Fluency in English is essential. Business fluency in other languages is also highly desirable.
