FXGO is a world class foreign currency (FX) trading platform. It enables Bloomberg users to buy and sell FX in the 5 trillion dollar global market with the world's largest FX banks. On FXGO they are able to see live prices streamed directly from the banks, execute and settle trades and integrate seamlessly with their own order management, risk management and back office systems.

Our London teams own critical parts of the platform including a 24/5 low latency multi-bank streaming solution, a batch execution platform integrated with order workflow, the post trade delivery backbone which services all deal notifications and a FIX connectivity hub for both sell-side and buy-side clients.

We need Test Automation Engineers that can meet the demands of testing a global trading platform that operates in a regulated environment and processes billions of dollars per day.

Accuracy, speed and correctness are key features of a trading system. As a Test Automation Engineer you can expect to be exposed to a range of different technologies and challenges and the full SDLC. You will be part of the development team and will ensure requirements are well defined and the software components are tested to the necessary level of acceptance. Your expertise on testability of interfaces and communication will be vital to strengthen the culture of adding quality and testing to the current code base through design and code reviews.

We are looking for highly capable and motivated individuals who have a strong sense of ownership and want to develop and extend our automated continuous build system and isolated test platform that performs nightly regression tests. You will also be involved in capacity planning and stress testing.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Have excellent analytical/problem solving skills. You will analyze requirements and use cases and work together with business managers and developers towards an agreed automated test plan
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to review documents and code and report technical issues to developers and business managers
  • Create and execute automated testing scripts according to the agreed test plans
  • Integrate with existing tools to execute tests automatically and report failures

You'll need to have:

  • Thorough understanding of testing techniques like system tests, integration tests, mocks and fakes
  • Excellent scripting (bash, python, ruby, etc.) to develop and maintain existing automations
  • Understanding of object orientation and C++
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and command line tools
  • Basic understanding of Git/GitHub

We'd love to see that:

  • Exposure to Test Driven Design projects
  • Previous understanding of financial markets, especially FX
  • You take ownership of your work and are self-motivated when driving your projects
  • Experience designing and implementing Continuous delivery pipelines using Jenkins or other tools
  • Strong working knowledge of software testing practices and metrics.
  • Excellent collaboration and partnering skills. You can effectively listen, communicate, challenge and influence team members, immediate peer group and senior managers.
  • Worked with code coverage tools and static analysis tools
  • A desire to learn new technologies and apply them where appropriate to improve the quality of our software and processes.
