Bloomberg's Supply Chain department is seeking a Warehouse Operations operative for our Canning Town Warehouse Operations functions. The incumbent will partner with the various operations within Canning Town – Print, Quality, Production, Event Management plus working closely with various stakeholders within the organization to help manage demand, supply, and distribution for our customer products. The successful candidate will be a high energy professional with strong interpersonal skills who has demonstrated success within the Supply chain space in a leadership role.

What’s the role?

We are seeking a driven and results orientated individual to join our Warehouse Team based at our European Facility in Canning Town, London. This site is the main EMEA distribution hub for Hardware, printed materials, Event management and promotional items that are shipped to and from our customers. Our Supply Chain is key in helping over 350,000+ global customers operate using the Bloomberg Terminal and supporting 192 offices around the world. You will be part of a dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment that provides excellent service to both internal and external customers. You will work with many other internal departments at Bloomberg and be expected to provide a high level of customer service.

Core responsibilities will include processing goods-in, inventory and warehouse management and shipping across the region. This includes accurately booking items into stock using SAP, maintaining stock accuracy through regular cycle counts, picking stock and processing outbound deliveries through a Transport Management System. You will work with many other internal departments at Bloomberg and be expected to provide a high level of customer service.

We'll trust you to:

  • Be able to collaborate with other departments within the company to provide the best service to both internal and external customers
  • Working closely with various functions within the Supply Chain organization including: A Warehouse areas (Warehouse Operations, Production, Quality and Print), Trade Compliance and Logistics, and the various functions across the Enterprise
  • Have good problem-solving skills and previous customer relations experience
  • Be a reliable conscientious team player whose passion is to work to provide a superior service

You'll need to have:

  • The ability to work to a high-quality standard with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize your workload and be a self-starter
  • Experience working in an environment of constant change and be able to learn new processes and technologies quickly
  • Experience in dealing with international shipments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven success in continual process improvements
  • Inventory database and stock control experience
  • Solid experience of managing inventory and cycle counts
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Microsoft programs
  • A one team approach and to be flexible in your day-to-day role with a can-do attitude

We'd love to see:

  • Experience of forklift handling equipment and other MHE preferred but full training will be available
  • Previous warehouse experience in a blue-chip/FMCG environment
  • Progression in previous roles and experience in leading people
  • Experience driving sustainability improvements
  • Experience using SAP in particular modules SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), WM (Warehouse Management), QM (Quality Management), BW (Business Warehouse)
  • Experience running operational data and use data visualization tools
  • Lean six sigma or other continuous improvement methods
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience
