This is a great opportunity for a Flatbed Printer Operator that has extensive experience with large format digital printers, enjoys working with others and is accomplished at anticipating and managing production challenges; strong knowledge of pre-press and post-production processes and wide format equipment capabilities and substrates.

BINK, Bloomberg LP’s global in-house print operation, offers offset, digital, wide-format printing and fulfillment services. With a staff of 32 and print facilities located in New Jersey, London and Hong Kong, the operation serves over 16,000 customers in 192 global offices, producing over 47,000 print requests in one year. We liaise with other business departments to produce print materials. On a regular basis the team reviews and determines the best print and finishing processes; they anticipate and manage production challenges and communicate challenges to customers.

We'll trust you to:

  • Have working knowledge of UV flatbed printing equipment
  • Understand RIP software and how to send digital files to printers through RIP software
  • Lead by example in producing high quality printed materials on vinyl, PVC and acrylic substrates
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite, Photoshop, illustrator, and InDesign
  • Ability to perform equipment maintenance on equipment
  • Load and unload roll to roll and sheet fed machines
  • Understand print and finishing related information clearly
  • Foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration globally
  • Multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail and quality
  • Safely lift 50lbs; 4’x8’ sheets of PVC material – up to ¼” thick
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot and make decisions to solve production issues
  • Display confidence, emotional intelligence and decisiveness

You need to have:

  • 7+ years of relevant flatbed printing experience
  • Experience with digital pre-press, operation of large format digital printing equipment including solvent and UV printers, and finishing
  • Experience with RIP software, including file preparation and color correction
  • Vinyl cutting and installation experience
  • Experience with material profiling and color management to produce printed materials on a variety of substrates

  • Basic production print shop environment and tools

  • Tenacious and creative problem solving skills
  • Relationship Management Skills to liaise with design team
