What we do:

The Entities team is responsible for providing entity level data for 6 million public and private companies. Our data sets include providing corporate structure, classification, identifier, sanction data for 10 global jurisdictions, and descriptive data. Entity data is utilized both on and off the Bloomberg terminal so we frequently work with sales and conduct calls to provide clients background on how we acquire, validate, maintain and provide quality assurance for our data sets.   

What you’ll do:

The specialist will be responsible for adding, maintaining and providing quality assurance for specialized information in the entity database. The specialist will also work with clients, utilizing new technology to expand the depth of data coverage, improve data quality, and reduce our time to market. Additionally, the specialist will be able to communicate our process to stakeholders, partners and other data teams globally. They will be highly motivated and excel at collaborating with colleagues in a team environment.

We’ll trust you to:

• Monitor & process entity level data related to company corporate events
• Monitor & process fixed income security level data related to credit events such as default
• Research corporate hierarchy and corporate actions documentation
• Determine Country of Risk for appliable entities
• Perform sanction assessments
• Respond to client queries regarding the data and product functionality
• Process escalation requests to resolve data discrepancies
• Assist sales and product managers on client meetings
• Examine processes and provide improvement recommendations
• Train internal stakeholders

You’ll need to have:

• BA/BS in Business, legal fields or equivalent work experience
• Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Excellent Communication, Analytical and Research skills
• Ability to interact with clients within the financial industry
• Commitment to enhancing and developing products
• Business Proficiency and fluency in English to manage respective clients

We'd love to see…

• Experience with Python, SQL, QSEN or Data Visualization
• Secondary language a plus
