Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced reporter to cover corporate finance and distressed debt from its Mumbai office. You'd be part of a team that covers the world's biggest corporate borrowers. You will keep your finger on the pulse of corporate India, chronicling the financial lifeblood of business in the country. As India grapples with bad debts that have surged to a two-decade high, you will closely cover companies that are winding through restructurings under the country's new bankruptcy code as well as digging through firms' balance sheets for any red flags. You will cut through technical jargon and write the news in a clear, concise and understandable way. The job also involves profiling corporate executives, investors, policy makers, traders and strategists, as well as using Bloomberg data to analyze the primary and secondary debt markets.

We'll trust you to:

• Break news on corporate finance, restructurings and distressed/stressed situations, as well as trends in the cost of credit more broadly
• Lean on existing sources and develop new ones to generate intelligent, impactful, market-moving news
• Cover breaking news with speed and accuracy
• Analyze industry data
• Write insightful, thought-provoking stories that add value
• Collaborate with colleagues across teams and countries

You'll need to have:

• A minimum of five years in journalism, preferably with a focus on credit markets or corporate finance
• Experience with real-time news
• Ability to write quickly and clearly under deadline pressure
• Ability to generate exclusive, breaking news as well as informative feature stories
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
