Bloomberg News, one of the world's biggest providers of business and financial news, is looking for a bureau chief in New Delhi.

Running one of our most important bureaus in Asia, you will thrive in a real-time news environment and put us ahead of the competition on stories pertaining to Indian policies, regulations and its impact on business and finance. You will raise the profile of the bureau by working with reporters and editors in the newsroom to organize interviews with top newsmakers. Coordination with other teams, bureaus and platforms is an essential part of this role.

We'll trust you to:

• Demonstrate exceptional news judgement
• Write and edit clear and comprehensive stories
• Regularly break news and produce high-quality enterprise pieces
• Work effectively across multiple teams, platforms and stakeholders
• Manage the internal personnel needs of the bureau
• Attract top newsmakers and build on the positive reputation of the bureau both externally and internally

You will need to have:

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Experience working in business journalism and in a real-time news environment
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to direct coverage
• An ability to maintain and develop top-level sources

We'd love to see:

• A working knowledge of Hindi
• An established network of sources in New Delhi
• Previous management experience
