The interns selected for this role will be based out of New York or a Bloomberg News bureau in another US state, including but not limited to: IL, MA, MI, DC, etc. This position is paid.

The Role:

Bloomberg News interns will gain hands-on experience reporting for one of the world's leading financial news services. During the 10-week program, interns will produce breaking news stories under deadline for our coverage of markets, companies, economies, and governments. Interns will focus on breaking news and beat reporting, directed toward the Bloomberg Terminal reader. Responsibilities may include pitching and writing enterprise stories, conducting exclusive interviews, and collaborating with our other media platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in journalism
  • Ability to work within a team under deadline pressure
  • Knowledge of global financial markets, companies and economies
  • Available for 10 weeks, 40 hours per week, beginning June 2017

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completed at least three years of undergraduate work or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in a real-time journalism environment
  • Fluency in a language other than English is a plus
