The Regulatory Controllers team within the Chief Accounting Office is committed to providing high quality accounting and reporting functions to our business partners.  The team is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic new colleague to manage various areas across all regulated entities including policy and procedures, improvement of efficiency, controls, compliance, new initiatives, and audit coordination.  As a key member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of teams across the organization and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency in a fast-paced environment.   
  
We’ll trust you to: 

  • Develop and maintain project plans across all regulated entities  
  • Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness of milestone completion 
  • Report, document, and escalate project outcomes and risks; and resolve blockers/risks to complete the project according to plan 
  • Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved 
  • Serve as liaison for the team with the business and other finance teams for new initiatives to gather and document accounting requirements for system enhancements and implementations 
  • Assess new business initiatives for accounting impact including coordination and documentation of accounting review with the technical accounting team  
  • Continuously evaluate current accounting processes and identify areas for improvement opportunities  
  • Drive automation of team deliverables and develop reporting tools to ensure reporting and operational capabilities are maximized  
  • Oversee periodic updates of policy and procedures documentation and monitor team compliance; assist in new documentation initiatives  
  • Manage internal controls process documentation updates across various entities, perform risk assessments to ensure control design is appropriate, and oversee operating effectiveness of controls 
  • Develop, oversee, and track regulatory compliance quality assurance checks and governance to ensure reporting compliance with country specific regulatory agencies  
  • Overall external audit coordination including maintaining and tracking key milestone calendar 
  • Host weekly project meetings with team and managers

    You’ll need to have: 

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting and project management experience 
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting  
  • Success in leading multiple projects and cross team collaboration across a highly matrixed organization 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and adjust priorities as necessary 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with superiors and colleagues; verbally and written 
  • Self-starter attitude and strong professional ethics  
  •   
    We'd love to see:

  • Experience in financial services industry ( broker dealer) or any regulated industry is a plus 
  • Public accounting experience  
  • A master’s degree in accounting  
  • A CPA  
  • Experience with the Bloomberg terminal, SAP, and SAP BPC – Business Planning and Consolidation

Salary Range: 155,000 - 175,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
