Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is setting out to become the indispensable source of information for the world's most influential business leaders.

Bloomberg television is looking for a highly reliable audio assistant. You will be responsible for organizing and maintaining our audio equipment and delivering microphones and IFBs to all reporters and guests on set. You will dress microphones and IFBs for each guest properly; attention to detail is imperative. You will monitor battery levels and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during a live production, coordinating directly with the A1 and director.

Those who cover A2 throughout their shift will also cover sliding breaks. The sliding break operator is responsible for rolling breaks as director calls for them, times the control room back into program from a commercial break, times the control room toward hard breaks and coordinates with GLOBAL MCR teams when control room is locking live.

You’ll need to have:

• At least 1 year of experience in live television or equivalent college degree
• Basic mathematics skills
• Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
• Ability to work early AM and overnight hours
• Work well in a high pressure environment
