Bloomberg BMRK provides market calibrated fair-value prices based on the most recent market data and our innovative blend of financial and statistical modeling. Primary users of this service are traders who depend on the data for trading decisions. They demand a high level of continuous accuracy, especially when there is volatility in the market.

This is a rare opportunity to join our New York team, responsible for supporting valuation models that leverage Bloomberg's in-house analytics and industry renowned database.

What’s the role?

You’re a highly motivated person with Fixed Income experience, namely Corporate, Agency, Sovereign bonds. In this role you will be primarily responsible for monitoring and validating the pricing feed. You will also work with Engineering to improve models and create quality metrics which will ultimately be used for intra-day monitoring. You’ll be joining a tight knit team of industry professionals with extensive and varied experience, including traders, portfolio managers and credit analysts. In this role you will be working alongside colleagues from a variety of backgrounds including programmers, business managers and sales – so get ready to show case your ability to collaborate and communicate at the highest level.

We’ll trust you to concentrate on the below 2 key areas:

1) Effective Project Support

• Work alongside business and engineering teams to test new and existing models
• Validate pricing of USD and EUR denominated Corporate bonds and Agency bonds
• Monitor pricing quality in real-time, and taking appropriate action to adjust pricing model
• Collaborate with colleagues in valuations, contributions, and data

2) Exceptional Customer Service

• Assist client inquiries about the BMRK product
• Occasionally support the sales team in presenting the service to our clients and prospective clients

You’ll need to have:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the financial industry, front office preferred
• Knowledge of low-latency or real-time trading platforms
• Advanced knowledge of bond mathematics and financial modeling
• Highly proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Bloomberg
• Business fluency in English is essential
• Ability to work with multiple groups across reporting lines
• Strong communication and verbal skills
