Bloomberg’s evaluated pricing service, BVAL, provides increased transparency through accurate pricing of fixed income and derivatives instruments. Mutual funds, money managers, hedge funds, internal pricing groups, and auditors rely on BVAL to establish fair and independent fixed income asset valuations.
Bloomberg BVAL is seeking a strategic and creative Government, Supranational, Agency and Corporate(GSAC) Bond Business Manager to help grow and enhance our unique pricing service. BVAL currently covers over 200,000 GSAC bonds and as Business Manager you will have the opportunity to leverage your deep knowledge of the fixed income market to expand and differentiate this offering.
We’ll trust you to:
- Lead the Americas BVAL strategy for Government, Supranational, Agency and Corporate Bonds
- Drive model creation and enhancements of pricing models for Syndicated Loans, High Yield bonds, Not-Rated Bonds & Loans, Private Placements and other models used to price both liquid and illiquid instruments
- Partner with engineers and quantitative analysts to build and evolve models
- Discuss the value of the BVAL offering as well as the GSAC models and tools with clients
- Utilize knowledge of the fixed income market and client needs to identify new product opportunities
- Help manage the workflow of a team of pricing evaluators to ensure the delivery of accurate pricing
- Partner with sales teams to identify appropriate sales strategies and market opportunities
You’ll need to have:
- Seven or more years of experience with Corporate Bonds as a Trader and/or Portfolio Manager
- Strong knowledge of bond structures, market drivers, fixed income analytics and pricing methods
- Knowledge of Syndicated Loans, High Yield Bonds, Not-Rated Bonds & Loans, and Distressed Loans
- People management experience
- Knowledge of Government and Agency bonds
- Experience managing large scale projects
- A strong network of contacts in the fixed income bond markets
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
