Know Your Customer (KYC) is a prerequisite for doing business in the financial markets. The cost of delays and regulatory breaches can be significant. Launched in 2015, KYC is a new enterprise business vertical leveraging our core strengths to provide an efficient solution to a serious challenge for our clients.
Our Entity Exchange addresses the initial phases of the KYC process by providing a centralized platform to assist with the regulatory and compliance workflows between the Buy Side and their Sell Side counterparties. As our business continues to grow, we will enhance the product and provide additional capabilities and offerings that address clients KYC challenges. Being part of our Implementation team means you will build manage relationships with clients and make significant contributions to team procedures and processes.

What's the role?

This is an account manager role, where you will drive usage and adoption of Bloomberg's KYC products and services. You will have experience managing a book of business for retention and growth of business, demonstrating an ability to possess depth of relationships and grow horizontally within a designated account. You will be responsible for revenue recognition for the accounts for which you are assigned and will have to identify up-sell opportunities across your accounts, working with partners across the business to drive incremental revenue.

We will trust you to:

  • Use your strong understanding of our target audience, the Know Your Customer space and workflow, to identify user requirements and to establish stakeholder relationships with a view of closing sales and expanding our solution footprint
  • Grow and develop existing client base to hit or exceed revenue goals
  • Understand the KYC competitive landscape, and create account plans with a strategy towards identifying and building relationships with key client stakeholders to maximize the use of our platforms
  • Establish a rapport and depth of relationship with your clients in order to become the go-to person for your clients needs
  • Network internally in order to inspire and take leverage other areas of Bloomberg to further promote community growth
  • Work closely with our Product Management and Operations teams, helping to determine the future of the product and service by generating feedback from clients
  • Be accountable as an individual contributor as well as a team player towards the common goal of growing our business

You'll need to have:

  • Experience with PEP/Sanction/Adverse Media solutions for counterparty due diligence
  • Relationship building and management skills with knowledge of enterprise account management
  • Ability to devise and execute account plans geared towards maximizing revenue growth, user adoption and displacement of competitor solutions
  • Ability to successfully partner with internal stakeholders
  • High level of communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrable history of customer interaction and presentation skills
  • The ability to travel domestically

We'd also love to see:

  • Existing relationships across the Buy Side and/or Sell-Side are certainly advantageous
  • Expertise or specialized knowledge in the Regulatory and/or Compliance space a plus
