Bloomberg’s Marketing department is searching for a Marketing Manager to lead integrated marketing and advertising programs developed by our in-house agency that drive awareness and consumption of Bloomberg Media’s portfolio of award-winning news and editorial products including, but not limited to, Bloomberg Television, Bloomberg Radio,, Businessweek, Markets Magazine, Pursuits Magazine, Podcasts and Mobile Apps.

In this role you will have a huge impact. You will be the primary point of contact for all programs related to Bloomberg Television globally, including our high visibility TV Promos program. You will drive channel planning, creative development and production for a complex program of ads that promote the Bloomberg brand as well as our Media products through our own Television network and digital networks.

You will also be the primary point of contact on multiple other Media products to be assigned, developing and executing awareness and customer acquisition-focused marketing programs that deliver on the larger objectives of the Media business.

We need someone who:

  • Executes advertising flawlessly on multiple platforms, with demonstrated experience in video, television and digital campaigns
  • Is a strategic thinker, always coming up with new, smart ideas to improve processes and marketing programs
  • Is highly collaborative and loves to work closely with creative people
  • Is motivated to learn about new products – and will relish the opportunity to learn the business of Media
  • Understands the importance of starting small, proving an idea, and then building on that success to scale programs
  • Can think on their feet, and welcomes change as an exciting and inevitable part of the process (more than a hindrance to execution)

We’ll trust you to:

  • Drive planning and campaign execution in partnership with in-house creative, design, production, project management and marketing management colleagues
  • Establish and grow relationships with the various Bloomberg Media business teams including editorial/product and ad sales globally
  • Evaluate external awareness opportunities that aid in promotion of Bloomberg Media platforms and brands
  • Report on campaign results to demonstrate the value of marketing efforts
  • Become an advocate for the Bloomberg brand and ensure that all marketing activity undertaken on behalf of Bloomberg Media is aligned with and supports the larger Bloomberg brand

What you’ll need to have:

  • A bachelor's degree
  • A minimum 6 years of integrated campaign management experience in an advertising agency, integrated marketing agency, or in house creative agency.
  • Experience managing television, video and digital creative development/execution
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative briefs that accurately translate business objectives and consumer needs into clear and strategic direction that informs a cross-functional team to deliver effective marketing solutions
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills; influencing across teams/organizations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, dynamic environment; able to think strategically quickly, judge when you can act autonomously and when you seek input
  • Master multi-tasker able to manage across multiple complex projects with many stakeholders simultaneously against deadlines

The Media marketing team is an integrated group focused on creating promotional plans for all of our platforms, and also tackling special series and breaking news like 2016 Election coverage, Brexit, market events, and high visibility events and newsmaker interviews with business and world leaders.
