Bloomberg’s Central Marketing department is on the search for a Marketing Manager to join our team. In this role you will have huge impact. You will act as the primary point-of-contact on marketing efforts targeting consumers of Bloomberg Media platforms (e.g. print, TV, digital, radio and events) and the products and verticals that reside within them (e.g. Businessweek, Bloomberg.com, Bloomberg Politics, Bloomberg Markets, etc.). You will need to successfully develop, execute and report on foundational, awareness and acquisition-focused marketing programs that deliver on the larger objectives of the Media business.
We really need someone who is capable of developing marketing strategies that consider consumer behavior and demonstrate creative thinking in order to execute effective integrated marketing programs. This includes multi-channel campaigns (offline, online, digital, social, house properties, etc), live events, digital marketing, and direct marketing.
Media Consumer Marketing within Central Marketing is responsible for the planning, management and execution of programs and activities related to all Bloomberg Media platforms. The responsibility of the team is to enhance the size and perception of our portfolio of media properties in order to drive value to the core businesses of Bloomberg LP.
Drive strategic planning and campaign execution in partnership with creative, design, production, project management and marketing management colleagues
Establish and grow relationships with the various Bloomberg Media business teams including editorial/product and ad sales globally
Evaluate external awareness opportunities that aid in promotion of Bloomberg Media platforms and brands
Report on campaign results to demonstrate the value of marketing efforts
Become an advocate for the Bloomberg brand and ensure that all marketing activity undertaken on behalf of Bloomberg Media is aligned with and supports the larger Bloomberg brand; this scope is global and will encompass myriad content, distribution and licensing partners across multiple platforms
A minimum 6 years of relevant marketing experience, most preferably in an integrated marketing communications or agency environment in an account management or strategy role. Experience in Media is also preferred.
Ability to develop creative briefs that accurately translate business objectives and consumer needs into clear and strategic direction that informs a cross-functional team to deliver effective marketing solutions
Outstanding communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills; influencing across teams/organizations
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in order to strike the right balance between strategic thinking and fast-moving decisiveness across multiple complex projects simultaneously with multiple audiences and against deadline
Familiarity with primary and secondary research methodologies and comfort interpreting research findings to inform strategy development
